Born in Liberec, Czech Republic

In 2005 completed the Ph.D. study of Biomedical informatics at Charles University in Prague, First Faculty of Medicine. Since 2005 assisting as a postdoctoral fellow at the Terry Fox Terry Fox Laboratory of the BC Cancer Research Centre in Vancouver.
